Branton Tanks
Design, fabrication and delivery of stainless steel flow splitter and level setting chambers for Branton WwTW MBBR upgrade
Bartec was appointed to fabricate and supply two bespoke stainless steel chambers as part of the MBBR upgrade works at Branton Wastewater Treatment Works, delivered under Kier for Severn Trent.
The package included the inlet flow splitting chamber and level setting weir chamber, both designed and built in-house using 304 stainless steel with fully welded 4mm plate construction and integrated structural box section framing. Each chamber was designed with PN16 flanged connections, fixed weir plates, lifting lugs, galvanic isolation feet, and level instrument mounting brackets.
Both tanks underwent hydrostatic testing at Bartec's workshop prior to dispatch and were delivered to site on a HIAB-equipped vehicle, ready for installation by others.
This project highlights Bartec’s ability to design and manufacture high-quality, large-scale stainless steel process tanks, ensuring dimensional precision, durability, and transport-ready construction in line with project-specific requirements.
