Fabrication and installation of MBBR aeration pipework, sample tanks, and mechanical equipment at Keynsham WwTW for Veolia
Bartec was engaged by Veolia to carry out the mechanical installation of key components for the new MBBR treatment system at Keynsham Wastewater Treatment Works, as part of an upgrade under Wessex Water.
Bartec fabricated and installed:
250mm and 100mm stainless steel aeration pipework from blowers to distribution headers and aeration grids
Sieve air scour lines and sample tanks including mounting brackets for DO probes and level instrumentation
Three blowers and vertical silencers, positioned and installed on site
A free-issue splitter box, lifted and installed onto an existing access steelwork structure
All fabrication was completed in-house and delivered to site preassembled where possible. Site installation included the connection of free-issue valves and instrumentation, pipe supports, and flow-coded banding. Crane lifts and scaffold access were coordinated as part of the enabling works.
This project demonstrates Bartec’s ability to efficiently deliver complex stainless steel mechanical installations, working from client models and specifications under strict site access constraints and programme requirements.
