Liverpool Hospital

Full electrical installation for renal water treatment systems at Royal Liverpool University Hospital, including plant room and endoscopy units

Bartec was appointed by Veolia to deliver the electrical installation package for the new water treatment plant at Royal Liverpool University Hospital, supporting critical renal and endoscopy services across multiple levels of the facility.

The scope included:

  • Electrical containment and cable installations for all power, control, and analogue systems from the main LCP

  • Connection of equipment across multiple levels including RO units, carbon filters, water softeners, raw water pumps, EcoMix systems, NephroSafe units, and instrumentation

  • Supply and installation of field isolators, signal cabling, and termination at both equipment and control panel locations

  • Electrical support for endoscopy plant, including installation of commando sockets, fused spurs, and booster set supplies

  • Completion of all outstanding cabling and signal terminations for concentrate loops, nurse stations, transformers, and Cecon systems

  • Final inspection and test of the full electrical installation across all systems

All works were delivered under strict clinical site conditions, using a phased programme to ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations. Cable specifications, containment types, and installation methods adhered to NHS and Veolia standards, with full documentation and health & safety compliance throughout.

This project demonstrates Bartec’s ability to carry out specialist M&E works in live hospital environments, ensuring reliability, safety, and precision across complex multi-level installations.
