Oatly MBBR Electrical
Full electrical installation of cable containment, power and control cabling, terminations, and testing at Oatly WwTW for Veolia
Bartec was contracted by Veolia to carry out the complete electrical installation package for the new wastewater treatment plant at Oatly WwTW, delivering a fully integrated power and control system across a wide range of equipment.
Our scope included:
Supply and installation of a heavy-duty galvanised steel cable containment system, using twin-tier ladder rack systems and dropouts to reach all motor and instrumentation locations
Installation of over 70 isolators, backboards, glands, and cable supports across all process areas
Full power and control cable installation from the MCC to field devices, covering:
DOL and VSD drives for motors and blowers up to 110 kW
Field instruments including pH, flow, temperature, level, pressure, and safety devices
24VDC, 230VAC, 400VAC, and 110VAC supply routes
Termination of all cabling at the MCC and in the field, including numbered cable markers, engraved traffolyte labels, and earth bonding
Installation of emergency stops, local isolators, trace heating supplies, and cable supports to Veolia’s specification
Completion of dead testing and certification, including insulation and continuity testing, followed by I/O support
The project included earth bar installation, earthing across flanged pipework joints, and connection of dewatering equipment with dedicated circuits. All works were completed in line with the site programme, under strict safety and quality control procedures.
This project highlights Bartec’s capability to deliver complex, large-scale electrical installations for new-build treatment infrastructure, integrating seamlessly with mechanical systems and control strategy requirements.
