Sonning Common Disc Filter
Full mechanical and electrical installation of a new disc filter at Sonning Common STW, including coordinated lifting, mechanical fixing, electrical termination, testing, and completion in February 2026.
Bartec Engineering Services delivered the complete mechanical and electrical installation of a new disc filter package at Sonning Common STW.
The works included landing and positioning the disc filter using coordinated lifts between Fosters and Ainscough, followed by full mechanical fixing to the prepared slab and alignment checks against existing pipework.
Electrical installation works included cable termination at the control panel, full identification of cabling, tray earthing, and verification of all field cable connections.
Dead testing was carried out and all covers reinstated once checks were complete.
Construction completion was achieved on 4th February 2026, with all works delivered safely and in close coordination with Veolia and Kier site teams.
