Bartec was appointed by Veolia to deliver the complete mechanical and electrical installation of two disc filters and associated backwash systems at Worsbrough Wastewater Treatment Works.

Our scope included the offloading, positioning, and prewiring of both disc filters in-house, including containment and flying leads for motors, sensors, level instruments, and emergency stops. Bartec also fabricated and assembled a bespoke stainless steel backwash tank, pump skid, and all interconnecting pipework, using 304L stainless with coated flanged connections.

Additional fabrication included control panel support stands, and all components were tested and trace-heated at our facility prior to site delivery. On-site, Bartec carried out the mechanical installation of all fabrications, final electrical terminations, and dead testing of the system.

This project showcases Bartec’s ability to provide a turnkey disc filter solution—combining fabrication, installation, and electrical works—executed under a structured delivery programme in close collaboration with the client’s design and commissioning teams.
